Where are the meals prepared?
All meals are prepared in the safety of
your kitchen in accordance with ServSafe
food preparation guidelines. On the
“Cook Date”, I will bring all the
cookware, utensils and ingredients to
your home. Meals are prepared according
to your exact specifications.
How will the food be stored?
An initial fee of $25.00 will be
required for the purchase of disposable
containers. After use, each container
would be cleaned and placed in a
predetermined area to be filled on the
next cook date.
What about the side dishes?
I offer many different side dishes,
including fresh vegetables, potatoes,
grains, pasta and rice. However, if you
are interested in Entrée selections
only, the pricing structure is devised
for that option.
How is the food heated?
Each item would be heated following the
instructions left by The Savory Palate.
However, these directions are
approximate, as each microwave oven can
vary in its power output. As a new
client, you will receive a complimentary
food thermometer, along with specific
minimum heating temperatures, which will
assist you in maintaining proper heating
of each dish.
What types of dishes do you prepare?
As a culinary school graduate, I
have been trained in many different
cuisines as can be seen on the menu
selections.
Where do you shop for groceries?
I shop for the highest quality
ingredients in local supermarkets and
specialty shops on the way to your home.
Is this only a weekly service, or do
you offer special dinner party menus?
The Savory Palate is available for
Dinner parties, Engagement parties, Hors
d’oeuvre gatherings. Special menus are
available per request.
How do I pay for this service? Is
your pricing fixed?
On the first “cook date”, I request a
check (or cash) for the service desired
(please see pricing sheet), the
container fee ($25.00) and a $100
deposit for the groceries.
The Savory Palate is structured as “Fee
plus” (please see “Pricing Options”
page.)
How often is this service available?
The Savory Palate is delighted to offer
monthly, weekly or biweekly service.
Dates are scheduled on a first
come-first served basis. Gift
certificate purchases will be scheduled
around clients.
